Veterinary Receptionist - Santa Clarita, CA

About the Role

Pinnacle Veterinary Center is a team-oriented, veterinary practice looking to add a veterinary receptionist to our crew of passionate professionals. We believe in a 'better together" philosophy because we know we are at our best when we celebrate ourselves and each other. As a result, both staff and patients flourish!

***This would be for a temporary part-time position while one of our current team members is out on maternity leave. There is a possibility for a permanent position, but not guaranteed***

 

Your functions would include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide excellent customer service through greeting clients/patients and answering phone calls.
  • Process incoming clients/patients.
  • Scheduling appointments and surgeries.
  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail and email.
  • Update client/patient charts.
  • Process payments and prepare bank deposits.
  • Retrieve prescriptions.
  • Assist with restraining animals.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the veterinary center.

  • Possess the confidence to own tasks and responsibilities to deliver positive outcomes.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous administrative and/or customer service experience, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Personable, empathic disposition.
  • Capacity to work well during distressing situations.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work shifts 7-8 hours and, as needed.
  • Familiarity with veterinary software is preferable.
